We had the same policy at every company I worked for. But then again, this was typically upgrades or fixes to software for the company internally that would directly affect their retail stores. And the last thing we wanted was a bunch of frustrated store managers and upset customers who walk out with their wallets on a busy weekend.
However, this is a very different situation. Microsoft already has our money.
I sincerely hope this fixes things and gives a lot of relief to those in the community having issues.
