I’ve been a big defender of this game since it launched. But after two patches, they seem to break more than they fix.
Just tried both of the business jets, and they handle like paper airplanes, and have both started suffering from, what I can only relate to that bucking bull ride you can have a go on.
The launch version of the game was better. How long should we, as consumers tolerate increasing bugs and problems with each and every patch? This game has a class action lawsuit written all over it.
They’ve even broken the VFR map, come on guys..

It’s unplayable for me now. I’m not a big fan of the tube liners, so haven’t touched those much, but when I have, it hasn’t ended well. I’ve been happy with the business jets, up until now. I don’t know what they’ve done, or what they’re doing. I can’t play it any more. I’ve dropped £110 or what ever for a broken piece of software.
It seems to be one step forward and two steps backward with every patch. A head needs to roll for what they have released.

You have posed a wonderful question! However, there are many who would refute your sentiment. I, for one, agree with you and wonder the same thing. Yet, looking at the future, i get glimpses of what COULD BE a terrific sim. Its just that with all the bugs that show up with each new patch, it truly feels to me that the sim is stuck in reverse. So, the short answer, I just don’t know.

I want this to succeed more than anything. But from what I’ve seen from launch, it can’t. I’m not even talking about 3rd party stuff, I’m talking core mechanics that don’t work. I dunno, part of me wants to just put it down for a year, but the other part of me, who has invested over £100 wants a product that I can use effectively, now. And I feel for others that have invested in this, and it doesn’t meet, at least, their basic requirements. It seems beyond the single engine props, this game doesn’t work.
My flying style may have shielded me from certain issues up until now, but now, my favourite planes, no longer work as they should. I feel the product is unfit for sale, in it’s current form.
The potential is there. But mostly in our imagination.
The disparity between promo material and release version was a bit of a slap in the face. The limitations of the current weather model for instance, became only evident after launch.
If you burn your customers trust and good will like that from the get go, you better get it right the second time, which is not really the case with all these regressions. I have the utmost respect for Asobo. I love their other games. But they are a small developer and propably in over their heads with this.
They carried over so many FSX legacy problems and bugs and even regressed on some features. It really boggles my mind. Another year in development would have made for a much smoother launch.
But I guess we will see what happens…
