I've been having trouble with the CTSL brakes. Anytime that I use the left or right brakes it seems to stop the aircraft entirely. Hitting the parking brake button twice allows me to continue taxiing

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No

I don’t have any mods/addons other than some additional aircraft downloaded within the game.

Which aircraft are you reporting an issue about? (Please also add the proper tag for it)

Flight Design CTSL

Brief description of the issue:

Brakes seem to stick. When taxiing, if I use the left or right brake (e.g., for steering, or for slowing down during taxi after landing), it seems to stop the aircraft completely. Toggling the parking brake on/off allows me to move again.

I’ve just seen this behaviour too.

I checked my bindings and all I have bound is the default ctrl&space, to set and clear the parking brake and an axis for each of the left and right toe brakes, on my pedals.

The virtual parking brake control appears to get stuck in the middle of the travel, somewhere between ‘OFF’ and ‘ON’ and this can only be cleared by me pushing both left and right toe brakes and then releasing them. As I press them, the Brakes control goes to ‘ON’ and then to ‘OFF’ when I release them. Any subsequent pressure on the toe brakes causes a “rinse and repeat” of the above.

every now and then this seems to happen to the C172 (G1000) - but I toggling parking brake by hand didnt work.

Yes, the function of left brake is normal, but the right will hold the brake in a middle position. It can be fixed only when you push the parking brake on and off.

Had something similiar when assigning functions:

First occurance: Axis not calibrated within the hardware config.

Second occurance: The brake pedal axis was reversed, so tapping the brakes slightly would work but releasing had the opposite effect.
Only way was setting and releasing the parking brake as mentioned by OP.

Also the sim would ignore the pedal position on initial flight begin, therefore not hinting to the problem at first.
