When placing gate parking spaces, how does one know if it will properly orient the aircraft? It seems as if the green circle does not indicate where the aircraft’s nose will point when the game loads?

I think I answered my own question. There is a “heading” option in properties.
you can also rotate the parking using the gizo, and have the arrow point in the direction of the nose.
Im stuck on making my first jetways, as the simobject (jetway mouth) is ok, but attaching the ‘link’ to the terminal is weird, and it does not snap on to the simobject jetway like it should, It looks disjointed or broken.
Any help with that ? I understand youre supposed to use on simobject jetway and one scenery jetway for each jetway link from plane to the terminal.
At the time, there was no arrow indicating the direction. I think one of the patches added it in.
And yeah - the jetway placement is screwed up. Kind of just have to do the best you can to line it up properly, sometimes having to delete and re-place. It definitely takes a while.
I don’t have any issues with jetway placement in my airports.
Add taxiparking “Gate”, under the gate properties add simObject “Jetway”. Place it where ever you want in reasonable distance from the parking place.
Just keep in mind that in automatic mode the jetway can extends in double its lenght and rotates in 180 degrees.
Then rotate it with gizo in any direction and put in any place aside of green circle, which is suitable for aircraft arrival to gate (not touch wings or engines). Connect jetway with link to terminal.
Done. No gaps or or disconnects.
