I have been having this issue as well with the Arrow and the GNS530 MOD same flight same route 3 x CTD at varying times during the flight, no pattern to it. Complete the same flight with the stock GNS530 in the Arrow no issue. So I then added the GTN750 same flight, same route no issue.
