It’s weird huh? It must have been a one off. It’s worked fine for me since.
It has been there since the earliest version. To my knowledge, it does not do anything in the sim. In real life it disables the electric trim switch on the left side of the pilot’s side yoke.
Download the 750 mod. It integrates beautifully into the airplane. Even can select it from the iPad - nothing to do to get it to work. Then, it tracks a course well. You don’t have VS control but lateral navigation is fine.
Make sure both rocker switches are ON and then select the mode (HDG, NAV, OMNI, LOC, etc) on the dial.
My pleasure.
How is going the CTDs with the new update? Last week I was having issues with the new system integration GN 750 mod
I haven’t had any with my flight today.
What I can’t figure out now is how to change GNS530 #2 nav source. Clicking CDI on the right Gps doesn’t work to toggle between gps and vloc anymore, I know the main GNS530 has a switch for this now, does the right hand #2 gps also have its own switch?
There is a switch for it right on the panel of the aircraft, NOT on the avionics units.
I still have the jitter with alt hold, only at higher cruise speeds but that was also the case before the patch.
I actually posted before I began landing. Once I put props to max I seemed to get the “jitters” again… wasn’t too bad though.
I see the one above the throttle on the panel. But where is the one to switch NAV2 to VLOC for the right GPS unit?
I would use GNS #1 on GPS mode and let the AP track the magenta line while using GNS #2 on the right in VLOC mode and a VOR turned to practice position tracking and position verification. It appears you cant do that anymore as using the switch to toggle between GPS and VLOC for GNS1 changes GNS2 to the same setting. You cant differentiate them anymore independently.
Tried out this update today. Loving the addition of support for the PMS50 GTN. I do enjoy flying with the ‘old school’ nav but it’s a nice reprieve to have some fancy technology (thanks to PMS50) every now and then! She flew nice and stable from KPAE to KORS.
Ditto here mate…just have to make sure NAV is selected on panel switch…I haven’t flown an Arrow for bout 10 years…can’t remember re any “jitters” in regard to prop settings IRL.
In the real aircraft it is a safety feature that disables the electric trim if you get a stuck trim button and runaway trim. Has no other purpose.
Thanks, Ive got theat installed (and updated) already. Still no joy. Its so odd.
Sometimes I feel like its trying to track, then all of sudden the plane will bank hard left, (and crash if I leave it)
I did have it working for a couple of flights which confuses me even more. Its like Ive hit a hidden switch or something. But starting C&D, staring running, starting running then pressing C&D., save state on or off, flight plan from MSFS or Littlenavmap - I just cant get it to play nice.
Arrrghhhhh
Thanks. I feel like ive tried every possible combination of switch configuration possible, 10 times.
Its got to be something obvious im missing. I know when I find the issue I will be kicking myself.
One more issue after the update is this one:
Another Issue I found with v5, if you press escape and to go to the menus, when you return to flight, your prop will be at 0%
It’s not the plane, it’s the sim. It’s a new bug that probably came with World Update 4.
