Hey all, Pimax Crystal Super, RTX4090, release version SU5.1, latest drivers/software. 72/half refresh rate, DLSSQuality. I’ve been getting what I would call strong jittering (could also call it stuttering) when turning the aircraft on the ground, and only when turning the aircraft on the ground. Panning perfectly smooth, flying perfectly smooth, turning off the runway or making turns on the ground, very not smooth. Anyone experience this? I’ve got TLOD at 80 and no real change, maybe 10% better than TLOD of 160. Lowering TLOD and clouds as low as I have them makes me think this is not a GPU issue.
Figured it out.
What was it?
I have had the same thing using pc link on the meta app with my Quest 3
Switched from DLSS Quality to Performance, zero visual change, huge improvement in performance. The rotational jitter is still there, but it’s about 85% better. Didn’t have it at all in SU4.
Yeah man I hear you. VR feels quite inconsistent to me, some days it will feel smooth then other times it feels worse than before without changes made. I’ve felt that on the same day at times.
Personally I gave up on pc link and switched to Virtual Desktop and found it essentially eliminated jitter if I kept my sim settings reasonable and it looked better than the Link cable which surprised me too.
