Joystick throttle working intermittently {VR}

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Often when I start a flight (in various planes), the joystick throttle doesn’t work, although I am able to move the throttle in the cabin using the mouse or touch controller. Once I am in the air, it usually starts working, but even then stops working intermittently.

Checking in the controls/hardware page, the joystick throttle works perfectly. I have had no problems before SU4, and none in other flight simulators

  1. Start a VR flight, for example in the Daher TBM930

  2. Operate the joystick throttle. It may or may not work

The exact same thing happens to me with the Xbox controller.

This is still happening for me, with some variants.

Trying to take off in the Heart, it was slow trying to accelerate. I looked down at the throttle controls, and only one of them was responding to the joystick throttle. Operating them with the touch controller worked, and eventually all engines were co-ordinated.

I see there have been various problems mentioned in SU4 blaming the joysticks . I’ve had my problem even after changing the joystick (the Thrustmaster and the Black Widow). so I wonder if SU4 is causing the problems rather than the joysticks themselves.

I get the same issues on my Saitek Cyborg 3D. Works on FS2020 / FS2024 SU3 , but only get problems with SU4. Even on the very latest SU4 beta. I have a similar throttle bug raised too. Very frustrating, as cant fly anything !!! FS2024 SU4 Beta - Saitek Throttle intermittent after SU4. Reverting to SU3 fixes
