This week, three new aircraft have been added to the rental lineup, including the Pilatus PC-24. While that might sound appealing, it raises the question — why release a plane that’s still incomplete and full of issues? Wouldn’t it make more sense to focus on fixing the bugs before rolling out new features? It clearly shows that the focus is more on profit than on delivering a quality experience.
It’s highly unlikely that the team developing the sim’s eCommerce platform is in any way involved in development work on aircraft systems, modeling, or art.
usely close to a devs stream, Feedbacksnapshots is not updated
Because the aircraft is already available and good state … (Pilatus PC-24)
I get that different teams are responsible for different things, but in the end it’s still one product. If you release a rental system that includes unfinished aircraft, it affects the whole experience. It shows a lack of coordination and gives the impression that pushing monetisation is more important than delivering quality.
No, the aircraft is not in a good state. The autothrottle doesn’t work properly, it constantly adds and reduces thrust on its own, and there are several other issues as well.
The B727F has an error message showing on marketplace as other have reported here:
The Development blog is getting more and more boring.
Even the marketplace doesn’t show any big improvements for the 2024, does the developer give up?
Why do we have to wait for a developer live stream to find out more about the betas? More information needs to be communicated on these forums more often, so we all have an idea on what is happening.
SU3 and SU16 seem to both be a disaster, and it would be nice to know what the reasons are for this.
A lot of people are getting quite anxious about the future of 24 and 2020. We all want 24 to work properly and give a good experience and good performance.
We also want 2020 to not be ruined by SU16, as although it isn’t perfect, it’s performance is worlds apart from 24.
We all had 2020 to fall back on until such a time that 24 is in an acceptable state. But if SU16 ruins it, then we will have nothing.
I get what you’re saying, but the alternative is releasing it when it’s not ready, so which would you prefer? I know what I’d prefer, and that’s the devs waiting to release it when they are ready.
Recently, when clicking on those development update links at the top of the thread, I get a paid that is malformed. Almost none of the images are loading, on a white background. At some point in the day they will work again.
Opening it on an incognito tab seems to work so may be a caching issue of some sort. Only seen this on my iPad.
I see another six new planes from MScenery, between 2020, and 2024 Those people are so productive…..
Sadly, this really has always been the case. Money talks. The people that ultimately decide the fate of MSFS most likely have no interest in aviation or flight simulation, but are very interested in making money for the company, themselves, and their investors.
To them a sale is a sale, and that won’t matter if it’s an A2A masterpiece, or a plane with no virtual cockpit.
Agree 100% with this post. It’s all very concerning st the moment.
They used to appear and be updated every week. But everything changed (especially for FS2020 bug lists) once the fire nation (FS2024) attacked.
A so-called “Developer Update” with ZERO actual content? What exactly are we paying you for?
PMDG officially confirmed the 777 series would release this week on Marketplace 2024. And what do we get? Yet another batch of MSCENERY’s . Is this some kind of joke?
The simulator itself remains a buggy mess, and now you can’t even manage BASIC Marketplace operations?
PS: If Microsoft didn’t force Marketplace purchases for Career Mode, I would’ve bought directly from PMDG days ago.
Which basic operation can you not do?
I think they can do what they want with some of us.
I guess I’m very lucky not being interested in carreer mode at all.
What I’m trying to say is this: The PMDG 777 has been released for quite a while, yet it’s still missing from the 2024 Marketplace. When I saw on the PMDG forum that it was expected to be updated this week, I was genuinely excited—but now, once again, nothing has happened?
If you’re running a marketplace for a major simulation platform, isn’t delivering timely and reliable product availability the most basic responsibility? This kind of delay is frustrating and honestly hard to understand. Apologies if my English isn’t perfect—but I hope my concerns are clear.
You eloquently illustrate my secondary reason for avoiding the Marketplace if at all possible. The primary being not really owning what you paid for, and being unable to modify it.
I may be after they’ve spent a year or two polishing it. Right now the frustration it can bring outweighs any enjoyment I could get from it.
