Good progress on the backlog for a second straight week. The combined marketplace backlog went from 692 products last week to 594 products this week, cutting the backlog down by about 43 percent (from 1,041 products) since April 20th.

FlyTampa KBOS is a huge win for XBox users. Been waiting for that and their CYYZ for quite some for XBox, so it’s good that we got it.

It should be required for developers to show the interior of aircraft addons. I do not fly from the outside. If I don’t see the inside, I’m not buying. It immediately gives the impression they’re hiding something. In the case of DreamScenery, they are just releasing someone else’s freeware (with blanket permission) so I have some idea, but it’s crazy that an aircraft addon can be sold without a single photo of the interior with a zero refund policy.

I feel like theyre just releasing the backlog products to release them. Lower the requirements and approve and send them on the marketplace, but hey who knows what really is going at asobo. They say things but we dont know if theyre all that true

The goal is indeed to clear the backlog, not to curate products by quality or hold them back. The thought is this will help ensure higher quality products and updates are also released more quickly as the backlog is reduced. It may also set the marketplace up for more freeware options in the future.
We can all have strong views on the impact of low quality and shovelware products in the marketplace, but that shouldn’t be mixed up with the effort to get the marketplace product release process fixed once and for all.

They indicated on their Facebook page that there is no plan for YYZ on XBOX.
Keep in mind, FlyTampa is not one organization. It’s a group of folks on different projects who publish under that name.
So not everything is consistent.

It only takes a few hours for the reviews, guides, walkthrough’s, etc… to start coming out after any release, so it’s not like the information is not readily available in short order to go over what may have been left out by the dev.

True, but to see reviews is inevitably going to buy it without having ever seen the interior. If it’s awful, they’ve paid to just show us what the developer decided not to with no chance of a refund. Something about a sucker being born every minute comes to mind, but I don’t want to blame any potential buyers for the developer’s shortcomings. Or they could just require interior shots to be included in the listing.
Well, to be fair, people buy CaptainSim products which don’t even include an interior (and that was advertised!)

Ah that sucks. I tried to ask on their forums but never got access.
Did they mention any specific reason why? I’m sure someone else will do a quality Toronto, but theirs looked really good from what I saw.
No, no further reason was given.
RegDesigns did it as well (PC Only) It is absolutely brilliant, updated and visually amazing but very resource intensive.
They promised to correct the issue but never did, lead dev took the money and ran and left everyone else high and dry.
There are 2 versions out so not sure if anyone else will take a run at it.
I did see that it was mentioned that MSFS was too unstable at the time (last year). But maybe they’ll come back when they see how successful the XBox marketplace has been since it’s more money for them.
Either way glad we got KBOS at least!
If there’s no interior pics then just don’t buy it. You wouldn’t be the only person to do this, and if enough of us vote with our wallet the dev’s will eventually catch on. Or they’ll just make less money.
I have been puzzled by some of the marketplace adverts, some are really quite poor with insufficient screenshots. Those developers are losing sales.
