Juneyao Air (Chinese: 吉祥航空; pinyin: Jíxiáng Hángkōng; lit. ‘Auspicious Airlines’), formerly known as Juneyao Airlines, is a carrier based in Shanghai, operating both domestic and international services from two airports (Shanghai Hongqiao and Shanghai Pudong). The company was founded in 2005 as a subsidiary of Shanghai JuneYao (Group) Co., Ltd, and started operations in September 2006. I have a question though. For all your liveries that you released, they are named as “Mesh Livery”. Is this just a branding that’s unique to your kind of liveries. Or are they using a completely different method called “mesh method” that’s different to the other liveries.

I have to say that all your liveries look amazing. But I’m not sure whether this “mesh” thing is actually what made it so amazing, or if it’s just the kind of naming that you just chosen to use.

Hoo… I see… so it is a completely different technique. Thanks for the link. It reminds me about the differences between Vector vs Raster graphics, where if you use vector, you can scale it to almost any size without loss of fidelity.

Which it does look similar to what this decal technique is doing. Thanks for this. I’m definitely downloading your liveries now as a priority.

in MSFS livery,

  1. standard texture,even 8K 10K 16K, there are still pixels
  2. decals material + UV,is better then standard,but still pixels,it can be used to draw color painting Livery, can draw dirty
  3. decals material + mesh,like Vector,but is clean,there is also the advantage that the size of the texture can be small,most of the time I use 128x128,Of course if there are not many colors, 2x2,4x4,8x8 is ok!
