Welcome to the 172nd flight event with Gunpilot and a whole bunch of other like-minded sim pilots. If you have just discovered these flight events for the first time, welcome aboard and you will be made to feel very much at home with the rest of the pilots on the flight.
The only request we make is that you arrive on the tarmac in the aircraft designated for the flight, and you join in the banter on the supplied COMMS RADIO which can be found in Gunpilot’s Discord server (click on this link to take you directly to Gunpilot’s server GUNPILOT’s Server ).
This weeks flight details:
Embarking on a daring flying expedition into the heart of the Amazon jungle in Central Brazil, a thrilling odyssey fraught with both excitement and peril, the adventure commences as we navigate the never ending canopy of the dense Amazonian jungle below. With each mile ventured into this untamed wilderness, the anticipation builds, palpable in the air, as the remote gold mining airstrips emerge like hidden jewels amidst the verdant landscape.
Touching down on these rugged and narrow jungle strips requires nerves of steel and unwavering focus, as even the slightest lapse in concentration could spell disaster. Each landing presents its own unique challenge, with obstacles ranging from dense foliage encroaching on the runway to sudden gusts of wind threatening to destabilize the aircraft. The stakes are high, as the consequences of an errant maneuver could be dire, with the unforgiving terrain below serving as a stark reminder of the dangers inherent in this exhilarating quest.
With “Damages turned on in the sim,” any pilot miscalculation could result in them “fading to black”, heightening the intensity of the journey and underscoring the need for precision and skill.
Yet, amidst the adrenaline-fueled rush of each successful touchdown, there is an undeniable sense of triumph, as we, the intrepid adventurers that we all are, set foot in these remote gold mining outposts, our spirits ablaze with the promise of discovery and adventure in the heart of the jungle.
**#### This flight will be conducted in the KING AIR twin engine aircraft. ####
And it is a BACK2BLACK flight so ensure you turn the first 2 Damages options on in the sim (located in Assistance Options) - what this entails will be briefed to any new pilots to Gunpilot’s event before we take off.

*Again, a packaged up WEATHER file has been developed and included along with the flight plan, negating any need for anyone to dial in weather settings, as well as ensuring that all pilots are experiencing exactly the same weather conditions. The Weather Preset file is located in #gunpilots-events (click this link GUNPILOT's Server ) to be taken there. Extract file into your Community Folder prior to launching your sim for the flight.
Also for this flight, around 150+ extra jungle gold mining strips have been added and we will be landing at 30 of them in this flight. Ensure you load this add-on, and the add-on that removes trees at both ends of the airstrips (press this link GUNPILOT's Server to be transported to where you can obtain them from Gunpilot’s discord server). Without these two add-ons in your community folder you will be forever crashing!!!
