Did this update also fix or remove the dreaded all white blank liveries? Also does it still work with online traffic on in sim general options?
I did. It also shows the UAL 76s as 777s. I’d really love to see a vmr that only contains the airplanes actually provided so I can use it with other Models and won’t get falsely matched models.
I did download both and installed correctly.
Those white blank liveries are “fallback textures”. You can get rid of them by selecting Alternate Livery or No Substitutions in the options in the FS Traffic Control Centre.
Ok yea those are already selected. All good. It’s a very nice update and models look and perform much better
Where do I find a full list of liveries by FS Traffic?
And at smaller airports such as EPPO there are still no planes and it’s not funny anymore. And it’s not a problem of the external developer who created the airport, because I don’t have these planes at the default airport either. Free traffic from FSLTL works very well. Where is the problem? I set up the ticket earlier but you didn’t help me because you told me to contact my dev from the airport. But how should I contact you as I don’t have these planes at the default airport either.
Problem solved “wingspan options” - it helped. Traffic at my EPPO airport has come up.
Not applicable for VATSIM modelmatching
Good point.
I have both FS Traffic (first) and FSLTL .vmr files in my VPilot but because of that it won’t even check my FSLTL .Vmr right?
Do you know if the FSLTL Vmr does the same thing?
I could put FSLTL first and use FS traffic as a fallback, but I’m afraid FSLTL will show blank livery instead of checking FS traffic .vmr
FSLTL has per their injector settings to disable blank liveries or to use generic models. Not sure how that affects their VMR file.
It doesn’t affect the vmr, you don’t even need to install the injector if you just need the models and the vmr.
What does “Wingspan options: Compatibility mode” ?
I use this free mod to control my AI Aircraft: AIFlow
Once you’ve launched into FS, press your Windows key (or your preferred method of accessing your desktop whilst the game is running, and run AIFlow. You need to nothing else with it. It works quietly in the background. It will correct AI aircraft behaviour, including speed and altitude.
You don’t even have to install the AIFlow as it works direct from itself if that makes sense. I just place a taskbar shortcut to the AIFlow program and run it from there.
There is a similar one also for correcting the behaviour of AI aircraft on the ground. Called AIGround
What does the wingspan option do?
I believe it’s a fix for larger airliners, such as A380 not appearing at certain airports.
This new version seems to work quite well.
I have verified that the bug that does not correctly load the route in the Flight Plan Manager section in Traffic Control Centre, continues without being solved.
I already put it in the official forum some time ago and according to comments it seems to be a problem with the decimal separator in some languages (Spanish in my case).
John from JF, commented on the forum that it would be fixed in the next version, but it hasn’t.
I hope it’s fixed in a future hotfix.
Same issue for me. Both core and fleet installed.
Are we failing to grasp something here?
While I’m getting much better smoother performance with the latest FSTraffic build.
There are issues with traffic only populating certain airports with the compatibility wingspan option selected. Meanwhile there are airports with populated gates without the wingspan compatibility mode but I see ZERO arrivals/landings. Is this a 3rd party airport issue?
For example…no traffic is populated at LatinVFR’s KFLL airport, unless I switch to wingspan “compatibility mode”. Then I’ll get populated gates and arrival/landings.
Meanwhile using Inibuilds KLAX has populated gates with both wingspan modes, but no arrivals/landings for neither.
Not sure what’s going on here, as I’ve sat for an hour with plenty of takeoffs but ZERO landings at KLAX. Even upped the sim rate and still not even one arrival/landing.
according to the FS Traffic manual:
Wingspan Options – provides control over the wingspan of the FS Traffic aircraft, allowing for greater
compatibility when using FS Traffic with default MSFS airports or third-party airports which may not have
accurate gate sizes set up:
• Real-World Values – sets the wingspan values of the FS Traffic aircraft to their real-world values. This
option is recommended for users who use a large amount of third-party airport scenery add-ons which
have correct gate sizes assigned.
• Compatibility Mode – sets the wingspan values of the FS Traffic aircraft to be slightly lower than their realworld
values. This option is recommended for users who use a mix of default MSFS airports and thirdparty
airport scenery add-ons which may not have the correct gate sizes assigned.
Note: In MSFS, the wingspan value of AI aircraft is only used to define the size of the aircraft with respect to the
airport gates. Therefore adjustments to this value will have no effect on the flight models of the aircraft in the
simulator.
