Just Flight - FSTraffic

MSFS AI engine/logic. Departures if you view littlenavmap never climb above say 16-18000. Arrivals spawn below FL190. Most departures directly out of the airport are still 4-8000 past 20 miles. You may get ‘lucky’ and see some over fliers at cruise levels. You might even get arrivals still stuck at cruise or FL200+ within 20 miles from their destination. It’s such a crapshoot at this point whether things will barely work or work at all. That’s why I stick to non-sim based controlled AI. I do miss the ATC but I’d rather have proper procedures followed and realistic climb, cruise, and descents (following AI behind or having AI follow me on SIDS/Airways/STARS) as opposed to just ‘hearing’ AI but knowing they aren’t doing anything they should really.

Thanks for the info. Also i found my folder under the “Roaming” instead of Local

I have found lauching couatl on gsx after spawning at the airport helps me a lot .wait for trafiic to start then run coutl ,then launch ground service . No extra clutter on gsx jetways only on fs traffic.

Ive had issues with trying to get the traffic to actually load in since Day one. The only thing I haven’t tried is removing GSX and then reinstalling FSTraffic. In the meantime, I have disabled FSTraffic so I can still use the model matching in VATSIM, and now back to running FSTL instead. Not an ideal situation, but atleast it works.

When you say you disabled FSTraffic, did you delete their folders except for the fleet one that contains the models?

I have ‘‘deactivated’’ FStraffic using the tick box in the tcc options menua.
However, the 4 x fstraffic folders are still in the community folder, the icao box requesting dest airport still comes up and jf ai traffic still appear in Little Nav Map !! I deactivated before starting the sim.
I have notified JF in my ticket response.

Honestly the only way it loads for me is by saving ai traffic offline and ground traffic density to 100 (it can be any number greater than 0). Then close the sim, restart the sim launch flight then go back to graphics setting and turn off ai traffic online and density to 0. Go back to my flight and remove traffic from FS traffic menu panel then regenerate. Yes I know it’s crazy. It needs more work. I love the models and performance but I hate it contains major flaws.

YIKEs way too busy, especially with loading flights, programming FMS, loading Pax, etc…. I just want something that runs without too much hassle, so yah, FSLTL is what Im running for now…

OH, and for disabling, I also just used the tick box, it’s still installed.

Exactly. Shouldn’t be that way. Cool I’ll do the same disable it, thanks.

I went a step further and uninstalled the whole mess. Horrible mod.

checking new version today

Only the “Traffic MSFS 1.0.2c” file is updated, no changes to the Traffic Fleet so no need to download. Just download and install it, no need to remove the version already installed first.

So far as I can see the main change appears to be an option to disable the FS Traffic in game menu, in order to stop crashes occurring. I can’t find a change log so I’m not sure what else has been fixed.

Hello all. As posted above, update v1.0.2 is now live and can be downloaded from your account. We’ve fixed many stability issues as well as the CTD when using third party products. Looking forward to your feedback

Given it a quick whirl… first thing I noticed is that I no longer need to restart the Simulator inbetween flights in order to see traffic… big yay! Tried this 5 times … returned to menu and started a new flight in different locations around the world…and traffic spawned beautifully each time. Very happy…well done Just Flight  . Now all we need is smaller GA traffic for the small airports as well as a better way to generate traffic at close locations without the need to enter the destination … and I will be ecstatic with this purchase.

Thank you to JustFlight for the collaboration about the issue that caused CTD between FSTraffic and other 3rd party toolbar add-ons !

Today i ll release FlightControlReplay v5 update for all customers that fix things on our side . In that way a perfect integration between FlightControlReplay and FSTraffic will be in-place.

Stay tuned ! Thanks

I have also just tried the new version, it is better but my issues are, very little traffic at major airports with setting on 100%, also if i go back to main menu and change airports there is sometimes no planes visable (tried 5 airports)
At least it is an improvement, before i had no traffic at all.
I have not tried a flight yet so cannot comment on enroute traffic and destination.

One other thing i have found, i get no traffic at all at LFPG, both with FS Traffic And FSLTL…?
Thats with the stock scenery.

You can raise a ticket here for any specific issues.

Thanks

John - Just Flight.

Have you tried regenerating aircraft?

Thanks John and FS team for the update. All working well so far. Currently enroute to destination and will see if traffic is moving at the airport. Previous issue was I’d see traffic but not taking off or landing. Not until I parked for about 5-10 minutes.
