The update solved my 2 issues. No traffic at destination airport is now fixed and i dont have to restart my computer to get traffic working.
Do you see any traffic approaching, taking off, landing and or taxiing upon arriving to the destination airport? Or just parked aircraft?
yes always
I’m getting all of the above: traffic approaching, taking off, landing, taxiing, parking, parked.
The issue with all of the above is the lack of interaction between ATC and your own aircraft with these aircraft - there are no “hold position” messages, aircraft take off whilst you are on final approach without any “go around” message, no en-route messages. Basically FS Traffic is visible as eye candy, but otherwise it does not exist / interact with MSFS in any shape nor form.
Once this is resolved (and it is resolved in FSLTL), and once GA is added, then this will be a must have. It’s getting there, but it’s not there yet.
In my case destination airport gets busy after I park and deboard for several minutes. Then everything comes alive
So is my understanding right that FS Traffic is more for the airliner-simmer who wants to have some action and life going on at their routes departure and arrival. Because I thought it would be a more general offline traffic solution for everybody. If you spawn at a small regional airport without airliners, FS Traffic wont generate any traffic at all. Until youre up in the air on the way to your destination. So no life on the airports around you and that you fly by on your route. I see the use of it if you just want to fly an airliner from a to b and have some life in the most obvious situations (at airports) especially considering the good performance it brings. So is it intended to stay like it is or are there going to be changes made in the future? Somewhat like AIGs logic would be great for offline.Just my two cents. Cheers
Correct no GA aircraft at the moment
Im not talking about general aviation you must have misunderstood sorry for my school english ![]()
oh yea I read general and traffic I misunderstood you there. I understand now yes unfortunately it won’t generate aircraft at near airports which is a bummer.
Hmmmm well v1.0.2 was not a great update for me.
EGSS > EKCH, I had traffic at departure that was ok. I had some traffic at destination a couple taxing and some at the gates, so that seemed ok. But climb out, cruise and descent and approach no other traffic at all.
Interestingly I did the same flight last night with the previous version and I did have traffic during the cruise, I counted 15 other aircraft enroute but I could only see them on TCAS, could not see them out the window though, unless, I zoomed right in to find the contrail in the night sky then follow to the end and you could just make out the aircraft, kept me occupied during cruise I guess ![]()
Well at least Just Flight and Flight Control Replay have responded quickly with a patch.
Might not fix everything, but at least we know they are working on it (unlike Asobo…they leave us in the dark). ![]()
I certainly appreciate that. Within a week…that’s quite a response time, gentlemen (quoting Jack Reacher, for the few people that actualy get the joke. haha).
I’m sure Virtuali, of GSX fame, is on it too, although we haven’t heard from him just yet.
Trust me, this guy might be a bit crude in his customer support responses, but he responds every time, even after all these years. Forgive him for being a bit short on patience with recurring questions…I would be, too. Haha
Just check out the MSFS developer forum and you’ll see him (along with Kaii of AIG) fighting to improve the sim structure/AI/ATC behavior of the sim with little to no response.
The 3rd party devs never give up, no matter the hurdles thrown at them by Asobo with every Sim Update. And neither should we, dear Airliner Sim pilots .

I encourage you to check out the following wishlist item (closely associated with FS Traffic problems):

I agree, I have read enough to not use this update, but I am not refunding either, I will wait. And yes the AI doing whatever they want at airports is extremely immersion breaking.
This doesn’t sound like the correct behaviour. Once the aircraft are in the sim they are completely under control of the MSFS ATC system so should interact like any other AI aircraft. Anyone else experiencing this?
John - Just Flight
I think that’s a fair assessment. We will be creating a GA pack in the future but we’re already testing some changes to the core system which will make the current product more GA friendly.
John - Just Flight.
Can confirm this. No interaction as desceibed often.
I’ve experienced interactions such as go around, hold taxi, traffic on the runway, pushback and taxi request etc ATC only spells out the airline name and without flight number. Also hear them during flight and cruise
How about my issue when arriving at destination airports? I see traffic at gates but nothing comes alive until I arrive and park at the gate for several minutes. I don’t think that’s normal?
Guys, don’t get this thread shut down again by asking JF for official support here. Asking other users what they’re experiencing, asking them for confirmation of personal observations, or for ways to fix or work around issues seems to be all we’re allowed to do here.
Well, frak. Just had my first complete CTD in a very long time. KLSA - KBUR in the PMDG 737-800. I had prepped and loaded the plane, taxied out to 19R, taken off, and was climbing out at about 6,000’ AGL and had just activated CMD A when the sim froze for about 10 seconds and then dumped me to the desktop.
I read a FB post from JustFlight yesterday that suggested using the Traffic Control Center app to set the flight rather than the in-game panels if CTD’s occur, so I’m going to regenerate my Simbrief flight plan, set my flight via the external app, then restart the sim and see how it goes.
Uninstalled. I can guarantee that FSLTL is better, and free. €33 thrown away…
Both together at the same time is the best solution
