Really awesome that developers choose to also work on older aircraft. MSFS will get some great diversity in aircraft availability. And of course as a Dutchie, Fokker is really something special to me. Looking forward to this one!

I had endless fun with the LES Saab 340, I just love 1990s cockpits. I had a look at the F-28 cockpit, it should be a fair bit older than the Saab, basically 1980s retro with a faint military feel to it.
Exterior wise it is an extremely nice looking plane and not at all comparable to the CRJ.
I hope they do this to the same level of quality as the Piper 28, then we are in for a treat on short to medium distance.
Not entirely sure what you’re talking about, the only old stuff we’ve really gotten are the DC-6 and a bunch of GA aircraft. Meanwhile we have a bunch of people planning modern stuff, and nothing really in between old props and brand new jets. I think this is a fresh breath of air, especially considering there hasn’t been a good F-28 for any flight simulator for at least a decade, if ever.
Hoping they add some modern navigation equipment (FMS/GNS). I know remaining operators have GNS and the old Canadian Regional/Canadian North Airlines had FMS. Not too many NDB’s kickin’ around these days lol.
Finally a beautyful T-tail plane with rear mounted engines. I love the look of this design, it reminds of Learjets.
Just Flight is a good developer who made some great planes in the FSX era (I think there was even a Cessna 402 and 421 Golden Eagle from Just Flight available).
The Fokker F28 and the Fly the Maddog MD-80 are on top of my wishlist for airliners.
Finally an old-school passenger jet with steam gauges! I was imagining the first one out would be more along the lines of a DC-9 or 727, but the F28 ticks basically the same boxes as those for me, while adding some quirky touches of its own such as the tailcone-mounted speed brakes, plus it’s the predecessor of the F100 which was the first jet I ever rode on. And since it’s JustFlight you know the quality and attention to detail in both looks and performance will be great just like the Piper Arrow was. Super excited about this and will buy it on day 1 if at all possible!
Please dont have a gps
It should have the option. A lot of radio Navaids are disappearing. The F28’s still in service have GNS onboard.

Perhaps they can make a variant with no GPS instead of a configuration type GPS install/uninstall thingy.
not painful, just tired of having the same thing in every plane, even when not appropriate. you have your buying decisions to make, i have mine.
Seeing how Justflight handled the inclusion of a more modern GPS in their Piper Arrow products, I’m sure they’ll give us the option of “switching” in/out a GPS system via a neat toggle. 
Would be great a F100 too.

The Arrow has a save state that remembers which GPS option I’ve chosen from the previous flight, I don’t see why the Fokker wouldn’t have the same functionality.

This is speculation, but I go away with a couple of things:
The cockpit looks extremely nice (in P3D). Considering that screenshots in P3D are already so beautiful the cockpit in MSFS could be a real stunner.
Otoh the plane might take a while to come out, considering that the P3D version isn’t even released even though it had been announced a long time ago.
The screenshots for MSFS also showed only the external model which did not have transparent windows. So until new info comes along I don’t expext this to come out for quite some time.
On the other hand they obviously did do a lot of work for P3D so it may be working as an advantage for the speed and quality of the MSFS version.
There won’t be a P3D version - they announced they ended P3D development and this aircraft will only come out for MSFS.
