For me as an Xbox Series X user, I’d say that my experience with the F28 and the RJ has been an excellent one - they are immersive and rewarding aircrsft to fly and JF work to update them regularly. JF also work very hard at optimising their aircraft to work smoothly on Xbox - that is all greatly appreciated.
But we do need a way of using Navigraph and Simbrief with the aircraft - we’ve been running them with outdated nav databases for a long time and sometimes this causes problems with flight planning. Personally I’d prefer to see work on this being progressed rather than cosmetic improvements.
I have to say when there’s a nice set of steps I would really like to walk up them and into the cabin. Fenix has it done so well, walk up steps (down full length of cabin if you want to) and then into cockpit and click on the hi-viz jacket coat hanger and bingo I’m seated. It’s very immersive. Yeah it’s a MSFS2024 flaw in strategy IMO. SHIFT-C in 2025(year) isn’t bleeding edge any more & it wasn’t in 2024 (year) either.
I just tested a bunch of native 2024 aircraft that comes with the sim and of these:
A320Neo
A321LR
King Air C90 GTX
King Air 350i
Douglas DC-3
None of them cleared the water (some of them doesn’t even have animated wipers). It’s obviously not just a thing that automatically works because a plane is native 2024. Nor is it a requirement for being a native 2024 airplane, it’s an added feature.
I’m sure Just Flight will have it clear the water some time in the future, but if that is the reason why you don’t fly the F28 then I must say you have some very specific requirements, it’s almost like you found the one thing you could complain about
No, I only explained to Mizunumagaijin why JF planes are not on the same level as Fenix, PMDG, A2A or Black Square. Not working wipers was just one thing I spotted 2min after loading their new F28 ver 2.2, hence I mentioned it among other things. EOT.
Your requests for 2024 wiper functionality have been noted across the various places that you’ve posted them, and we’ve explained the situation.
Whilst that’s clearly an important feature to you, it’s not reflective of the wider quality and functionality of our aircraft, or something that can sensibly used as a metric for comparison of the entire product to those from other developers. Each product and developer has it’s strengths and weaknesses, which also change over time.
Evidently we are just not your cup of tea, which is fine, but let’s keep things civil here, and recognise that opinions are not fact, and that which developer is better than another is subjective, whether that’s positive or negative towards us in particular.
Had a very nice flight the other day! Apart from some pitch oscillation in IAS AP mode it was a beautiful flight. Love the new interiors (which I forgot to take picture of!), really love flying these retro jets.
I have put this one on my wish list! The price on the Marketplace seems to be much higher than it is on Just Flight’s web site. I would rather buy it from the Marketplace so I’ll wait until next sale!
Heads up for a potential problem in the 2024 version of he F28 Professional.
I cannot enter the aircraft if I spawn to a gate. The display shows “Enter Aircraft” rather than the usual “SHIFT + C Enter Aircraft" that is displayed on all my other 2024 aircraft (including Just Flight planes - RJ100 image provided for comparison).
I can spawn into the plane on a runway but not at a gate. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the F28 Professional but the problem remains. Could this be related with the control issue that @NixonRedgrave reported?
