I am aware that it “should” .
I am aware that trim in a piper is actually an anti-servo tab and it should have no effect without some airspeed or propwash.
I am aware that back when I used to fly we often even dialled in slight nose down trim especially with a head wind.
I am also aware that you guys are not seeing it when you try it.
However for my setup it is not working as expected, even a miniscule amount of nose up trim in light GA aircraft makes a massive difference and no amount of back stick or playing with CoG has the same effect. Other people report the same result so it is not just me.
The interesting thing is not everyone get the same result.
