Just had a download in the Microsoft Store Version 1.4.20.0?

Was in the latest SU3 beta, just got an 8.37GB download and it now says I’m on 1.4.20.0. Is this a new Beta with an unexpected version number or have I been removed from SU3 beta?

Beta is 1.5.4… I think you are back to SU2

Yeah I was on 1.5.4.0 since it was released. Was just updating things in the store and it did a download for MSFS 2024. Seems I’ve been put back on SU2 :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Some of my settings have been changed also.
Why has this post been marked as solved?

I didn’t ask to be put back on SU2 surely this should be left as NOT Solved, other people might see the same downlaod and thinks it’s a new Beta…

Did you already register for the beta programm? This startet shortly after release of the first SU3 Version.

Yeah I’ve been running SU3 beta from the beginning of it’s release. Was working fine in 1.5.4.0 yesterday. Now it’s dumped me back to SU2.

Tried to go back to SU3 beta from the Xbox insider hub but it only gives me the option for MSFS 2020’s SU16 beta and I don’t have 2020 installed.

Perhaps SU3 beta has been shelved for now, whilst they work all of the issues out.

Maybe  but if that’s the case it would be nice to be told that you are about to be removed from the Beta so you don’t have to waste time trying to find out why you suddenly get a different version.
If you see an option in the MS Store for a MSFS 2024 update, be wary, if you want to stay on SU3 Beta don’t download it.

Very strange!

Yes, thats usual meanwhile, there are threads about it. You have to register before. See [READ FIRST] Welcome to the Sim Update 3 Beta!

I was registered before, was I supposed to re register on a regular basis?

I had the same issue about 2 weeks ago. Got kicked out of the beta after receiving some xbox app updates (insider hub app and xbox identity provider app) and had to go through the registration process again…

If SU3 is not showing up in the Insider Hub, you are not registered.

Well I was registered and I didn’t opt to unregister. I have always been part of the Beta tests from the first one, and I completed the online registration as suggested for SU3 beta, although in their notes it does mention you don’t need to do this if you were enrolled in the previous betas.

I also never had the option to take part in the MSFS 2020 SU16 beta that I now see. I don’t have MSFS 2020 installed so I don’t know why I’m getting that as an entry in the Beta list.

Seems I can’t get back to SU3 for now so I think I’ll wait until they release a new beta and see what happens then. Shame as I was enjoying SU3 beta, was working well on my setup.

This is all i see in the Xbox insider app now

No betas for 2024 were ever “shelved”. Either they kept being updated with new versions or they were consolidated into a release version.

I’m not sure if we talk about the same thing. I do NOT mean the activation in the Insider Hub. In order to see the game in the Insider Hub, you have to perform upfront the registration on a website. This is new, and the link is in the announcement of SU3. Without this upfront registration, the SU3 will not appear anymore in the Insider Hub.

SU16 is of course new. But I can see several beta programs from different games I do not own, so this is quite usual.

You have to apply for the Beta beginning with SU3.

Hi all,

Just confirming that this is NOT the case. We have no plans to shelve SU3 Beta.

Thanks

Well thanks for the suggestions, but i had registered on the website and have been using all iterations of the SU3 beta from the time they were released.
Was fine until i got the update in the store. Then i wast returned to SU2 and can’t get back into SU3 beta.

Just had a thought as to why this might have happened.
I installed a new CPU a few days ago, managed to get hold of a Ryzen 5700X3D for £120 to replace my 3700X.
Is it possible my system is not being recognised now with a new Hardware ID.
If so, has anyone any idea how to solve this?
