I know there are a lots of issues still to fix, but we all know that this is no easy job for the devs team.
A flight simulator is a very complex software to delevop. I’ve had the first IFR flight today from EBBR to LIPH with the TBM930, and i was surprised how well the aircraft and in general the sim both performed, of course the TBM is lacking looots of feature, but lets not forget this is a default aircraft and just released !! Im honestly very impressed. Autopilot was behaving perfectly and i could shoot an ILS approach by the manual with no issues at all. Only remark is that there is no option to isert airways YET (yet hopefully).
Overall a big THANK YOU to the devs for delivering a great product which with the help of the community will be improved more and more.
Thank you DEVS and the MSFS 2020 community that is loving the sim.
I’ve enjoyed flying every aircraft and while some features may be missing, the SIM is still AMAZING beyond anything before and way better then sims I paid for as part of my PPL.
People like to complain, but from me as well. THANK YOU for putting up with the complaints from haters. Please hear and understand the gratitude from us. WE LOVE THIS SIM and it’s all because of your hard work and dedication! THANK YOU!!!
I would like to add the financial aspect. Whether the $60 or the $120 version, no other sim on the market is as complete as FS2020. Basically you don’t need anything else.
New bugs and new problems, but I can wait asobo. With Patch2 my performance went up. Ground textures are preloaded faster. Everything looks more consistent for me now. Whether there are a little less trees here or there or a little less waves in the water, I don’t care. I have no more micro stuttering. Everything is much smoother now. CTDs have dropped to 0 for me due to frequent Alt+Tab. What more do I want? If the bugs of the planes are fixed now, then I am happy. I am glad to have chosen the Premium Deluxe Edition.
100% agreed, this certainly is a great start! MSFS made me enjoy flight simulation for its own purpose again, rather than just a pure procedural currency trainer!
I’m personally not fussed at all about the state of the default planes - I only fly A.I.-controlled planes to do ‘virtual tourism’ around MSFS’s world (I like exploring, not piloting). I have a lot of fun with this sim, and I feel that even on that shallow level I’m getting more or less (with a few exceptions) what I paid for.
However, for the real pilots around here I can appreciate this sim is probably nowhere near ‘feature-complete’. These guys could properly fly a Neo with their eyes shut on a dark dark. It must be very disheartening to see all those [inop.] tags on the various flight surfaces, let alone the myriad other technical issues that only a pilot would care about.
So MSFS absolutely has the potential to become something truly outstanding - perhaps even the only flight sim anyone would ever need, with everything feature-complete (in time), but it’s not there yet.
Maybe a THANK YOU to the 3rd party devs who don’t get paid a ton by Microsoft who are already fixing Asobo’s mistakes… that’s who I am thanking at the moment!
I think that’s fair, but I’m having a blast in the meantime. Last patch (and, for me, all installs and patch 1) installed seamlessly without issue. I know people are having issues and they need to be fixed and I can appreciate their frustration. I do think many issues will have been caused by tinkering and nodding from day 1 which I have avoided doing - I did experiment with the small trees fix, but have reverted that now and think patch 2 had improved that. I know that’s not the answer for all, but I do think greater caution is advised for those jumping in and mucking about in the code.
Anyway, thanks for a brilliant experience so far MS/Asobo. I’ve not touched another game since this came out. I’ve still got CK3 waiting for me to even start it up!
Haters gonna hate but we sim lovers appreciate. Some will flee but the rest of us will enjoy the enhancements, ya’ll will see. Its no easy feat but Asobo will prevail and not experience defeat. Microsoft may have released it “too soon” but like myself many of us are glad they did so I dont care if you call me a loon, im having fun and excited for what the future holds, what Microsoft and Asobo did is bold, and I love it!!
Let’s not forget the individuals as well who are contributing to the sim, we love you guys!
Agree completely. My policy for the foreseeable future is ‘stay vanilla’. No mods. No tinkering. I have only ever had one CTD since release day (never since) and updates have never been a problem.
I do see a lot of the problems people are having with the sim and think ‘what am I doing right?’. It literally just works for me.
