Brief description of the issue:
Altitude Preselect is not functioning as described in the KAP 140 documentation. Example: Altitude Hold is currently set to 5500’. You wish to climb to 6500’ and hold. You set the KAP 140 to 6500’. The expected behavior is the ARM enunciation will appear automatically as the AP is already engaged. This does not happen. If you then set a positive VS, the AP will climb and pass the preset altitude of 6500’. There is an added, incorrect step, where the PIC must press the ARM button after preselecting the desired altitude.
Note: This bug may exist in previous version of the sim. This is the first time I’ve encountered it.
