Keeping control of spending habits is difficult

All - And that is why I advocate buying the absolute best made flight controls possible. NOT a bunch of plastic ■■■■. I owned the Honeycomb TQ and it was big and bulky, took over many mouse operations that I had been used to for 30 years, and was made totally out of plastic. My second choice in that arena was Virpil, which I learned about here, and it’s the absolute toughest stuff I have ever owned, 95% metal components, settings stored inside each device (not in sim to get corrupted). Updates about 2-4 times a year, easy to configure in MSFS but even easier in X-Plane. Compact, not in the way when not using. I did buy the Monster Tech Flight Chair, and it’s very good, but, it needs to be even tighter in it’s configurations, with the tables, all my stuff is sitting on it (except mouse-have table) and I just roll it over and plug in the extension cable, and away I go. The Boeing thing, is again too bulky, the Honeycomb Yoke is also too bulky for my space, others may feel different. I am going to assume the Virpil stuff will last me till dead and gone. No, you are not in the will. YES EXPENSIVE, delivery took a while, but, I am 1000% pleased with the quality and how they are built/setup for use. Just the best I have found. There may be other stuff too, but I am happy with my stuff. I thought seriously about the AP panel again, for my space, no place to put it. Do not want to build a cockpit setup, as I do more in this office than fly.
