Keyboard Assigments with Multiple Keys

I am not sure if I described this adequately in the post title. What I am trying to do is assign a keyboard command of Ctrl+Shift+F for the repair and refuel keyboard assignment. However, it will not let me assign more than a single key. What am I missing here?

It is supposed to allow you.
I have done it numerous times, and just tried to assign that combo to that command and had no issues doing so.
Make sure you clear and validate any current value there, then click scan, then push & hold the Ctrl Shft & F keys. Do not release any key until all three are keyed.
Be aware that is also the command for “Fuel Valve On” so you would have issues with the fuel valve when you key that in when using the sim.
Ctrl Alt F is a better choice as it isn’t used.
Let us know how you make out!

Thanks. No luck so far. I fully expected it to work as you described as my experience has been the same in the past with MSFS 2020 and previous sims.
I am not concerned with the assignment conflict as I typically use my controllers, or the virtual cockpit controls, for aircraft system assignments, and the keyboard for simulator control (non-aircraft) assignments.

It may be an issue unrelated to MSFS. I just found that my function keys, such as F9, are not working while using Excel this morning. Maybe correcting that problem will resolve my MSFS issue.

One “issue” with keyboard assignments is that “Ctrl”, “Shift”, and “Alt” are not “Ctrl”, “Shift”, and “Alt”. They are actually “Left Ctrl”, “Left Shift”, and “Left Alt”. If Ctrl+Alt+f is assigned to a function and does not work, check which Ctrl and Alt are being used. For many definitions, I add a second definition for the right-side keys. If I assign Ctrl+Alt+f to a function, I add RightCtrl+RightAlt+f to use the function from either side of the keyboard.

It appears my keyboard drivers became corrupted between the end of my workday, Friday, when I was last in Excel, and yesterday afternoon. I was able to make the assignment and have full functionality back after reinstalling the keyboard drivers this morning. Now, back to work haha!
