The issue is caused by using the keybinding you have assigned in the alternate (right hand) box in the keybinding configuration.
So, if you’ve left the default binding in the left hand box and you’ve added an alternate binding in the right hand box, using the right hand binding will multi-enter whereas the left hand binding will not.
Therefore, either eliminate the left hand binding and put your right hand binding into the left hand box, or swap their positions left to right and right to left to solve the multi-entering issue.
You’ll still have the multi-issue if you use the right hand binding, but if your primary binding is the alternate, placing it in the left hand box will circumvent the frustrating behavior.
