Brief description of the issue:

Pressing a button to steer the aircraft has a greater effect, if the corresponding control surface was previously in neutral position. That means pressing e.g. aileron left and then twice right will result in the aileron being deflected to roll to the left. Additionally, even when pressing the opposite direction the appropriate number of times to return the control surface to neutral, it may or may not be in neutral position, presumably due to rounding errors or aerodynamic effects on the control surfaces. The user thus cannot know how much of an effect the next button press will have.
Pressing the “Center Ailer Rudder” key consistently triggers this effect.

Ya, same annoying thing with zooming. I’m sure it’s a ‘feature’ aka ‘a bug they don’t care to fix’

Maybe they consider that there are not that many simmers that
fly with a keyboard and the fix is to get a joystick.

A joystick is not expensive and provides a much greater experience.

Altthough, I’ve seen Replies from simmers that fly with a keyboard
and really like it.

That is all they know and are content.

Looks like your issue could be the same as a one related to trim control. Maybe applies too for other surfaces:

Thanks, but no, its not the same issue. That post is about how an input is processed when a key is held down continuously. My issue is only concerned with single keystrokes.
