ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Deleting Keyboard, Airplane controls custom setting causes CTD
Description of the issue:
v1.2.8 I try to delete my Airplanes controls, Gen 1 custom keyboard. After pressing OK to delete, MSFS 2024 hangs for a short period of time, then the ‘FlightSimulator2024.exe has stopped working’ message box appears.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Everytime I try to delete a custom keyboard configuration.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Go to Settings, Controls, Keyboard.
  2. Go to Airplanes controls.
  3. Click the gear and choose DELETE.
  4. Click OK to continue.
  5. Stopped working message box appears after a few seconds.

Is Gen1 your only Airplane Preset?

If so, why delete it?

I have the exact same problem. I have multiple presets and not matter how I try to delete (even clear first) I get CTD every time. Can rename and reassign keys/buttons.

Almost the same issue here. I’m having control issues and trying to start fresh. If i delete one preset it’s fine. However if i delete a second preset for a given plane, guaranteed CTD.

I wonder, are there supposed to be duplicate names allowed for preset presets? i noticed i have many of the same name presets for some planes, which seems to coincide with these crashes.
