KMGJ Wrong Runways

If you go to KMGJ (Orange County) in MSFS it has runway 03/21. In reality though, this airport has 04/22. If you fly over the scenery from satellite photos shows the 04/22 runway, though the airport scenery draws 03/21 on top.

Can it be updated to have 04/22?

Thanks!

It looks like its not the only thing wrong with it. I have Navigraph data installed. In LNM, this is what I see if you use MS data. Look at the ILS.

Now I enable Navigraph for all features:

The runway now matches the ILS.

It looks pretty ugly in the sim too.

Yep, there is an issue here.

It seems the length and everything is correct but the runway and taxiway just need to be moved.

Hello @PoisedAuthor760 ,
Welcome to the forums!
When you fill out a bug report, the template that appears when you first click the “New Topic” button is supposed to be filled out, not deleted. I have moved this to the World section.

OP a few airports in the US have recently had new surveys due to the magnetic poles changing a bit. Reno Tahoe (KRNO) recently had runways 16L and 16R changed to 17L and 17R. I wonder if Orange county has had something similar?
How recent was that satellite picture taken?

I flew there in real life today. The satellite picture is how it really looks.

Wikipedia interestingly does say 4/22, but later in the body says 3/21 so maybe it got updated as you say.

The runways are not supposed to be overlapping though, and it should really match the satellite photo

You can see the diagram here: AOPA Airports

OK yep, wikipedia actually says what happened:

In 2016 the airport began a three-year project to move one of the runways a thousand feet (300 m) to the north and change its angle by 8 degrees in order to provide a buffer zone at the ends required by the FAA for emergency landings (previously, the runway had ended at the Wallkill River). along with a new taxiway adjacent to it.

It opened in 2019.

Here are two satellite photos from Google Earth, one from 4/2016 and one from 9/2019:

At least the runway numbers are the correct size on the imagery. Still waiting for them to fix that globally.

World Hub to the rescue! (For PC users, there’s also a scenery available on flightsim.to)
