On rare occasions, Aircraft screens might not initialize correctly upon loading a flight. Please restart the flight to fix the issue.
Well, first off, my experience on this matter is 50/50. Yes, for every other flight, the screens in the TBM are black, only G3000 nav boots up. I have not tried other planes but for the TBM it happens every other flight.
I can live with the workaround to simply restart the flight however then I get clear skies, the weather never works for me if I restart a flight. I have to close sim and restart the sim again.
I’m in the same boat. After a reinstall to try to fix the performance issue (partially successful), I haven’t been able to fly the TBM as the screens are black. I find it’s about a 50-50 thing as well (with ot without the WT mod makes no difference).
And I also have the live weather bug, so restarting a flight means I have another 50% chance of displays not working, but a near 100% chance of not having weather upon restart, which means a restart of the sim as a whole.
OK, glad to hear I am not alone, wonder what triggers that black screens…As far as the weather bug I have pretty much accepted the fact that my experience with this sim will stay like that and moved on since it is not a recognized problem.
Remeber this: Asobo PR to English translator: “On rare occasions” = “at least 50% of the time”. I wish the lottery came with those “rare” odds.
It was the same with the VFR map bug back some months ago where they said it was known to cause CTD on “rare occasions”, which was almost every time it was used. lol
As for the live weather, until I hear otherwise from official channels, I still think they consider it to be user error.
