When they fix the NXi I’ll re-install it. But not risking loosing a minute flying the Kodiak because of it. Set up a nasty rainy flight from Luis Munoz to Princess Juliana(both third party versions) the other day for ‘fun’, accidentally set it in the middle of the night as well and made it without issue-which is not something the Kodiak is usually asked to do-so why bother risking a CTD. Does just fine path-finding through mountains in AK or island hopping in HI. And not wasting time with the photogrammetry muddy graphics, using AI traffic and selecting my own weather, the frame rates are butter silky smooth and everything looks better, makes for an easy realistic landing at St Barth down the hill. I’d be just as happy with it being a steam cockpit with a GNS530.
But then it wouldn’t be a Kodiak 
Well the blank black screen livery is not my favorite look, especially when followed by a long look at a TBM stuck screen before restarting the box again.
I just saw this on another topic, Might be of help. I haven’t tested it yet, but it may infact work. It adds a few more steps, but almost guarantees that the NXI will work with the Kodiak:

After this morning’s beta implosion I’ve opted out and done a full re-install of SU8. Indications are it’s all working again as it should.
I’ll have to see what happens when SU9 proper releases and go from there.
3 things I’ve found that minimise the number of CTDs when using the Kodiak on my Xbox Series X :
1 - uninstall the NXi mod
2 - Start cold and dark, rather than on the runway all prepped
3 - avoid the larger, more memory hungry airports
In the spirit of pre-emptive trouble shooting I am now 100% certain there is an issue with SU9, the Kodiak, the G1000nxi and Pilot Plus’ airfields.
Because of the mess today I did a fresh install of SU8 and was able to use the above combination at all Pilot Plus airfields without issue. When SU9 beta was sorted I opted back in and as a test attempted to load the Kodiak with the nxi at a PP airfield. Result was an immediate CTD.
From the comms I’ve had with PP they apparently have some ‘custom navigation’ in their packages and I would hazard a guess that that is the potential culprit. The re-iterate, this only happens with this specific combination of the Kodiak, the G1000nxi and any one of the Pilot Plus airfields.
I don’t know what it is that is interacting to cause the crash but it is beyond doubt. Unless the nxi update for SU9 has already solved this, expect these crashes come release with this combination of add-ons.

Be careful with liveries, there are quite a few on flightsim.to that will ctd you to death.

Thought this was the case for me too (two successful flights) - but just crashed. The uh, the game. Not my plane. My plane didn’t crash. Well, it may have, when the game crashed I guess. I wasn’t really in control anymore at that point. Oh, the humanity.
Still the same on Xbox. Ctd every third loading or so
Are you talking about the Kodiak or just the game in general?
I had really specific crashes with the Kodiak, G1000nxi and certain 3rd party airports (as well as just general flying in the Kodiak) but so far all seems well.
Kodiak and G1000nxi, specifically, are the crashes I’m speaking of. Working at the moment so can’t play around with too many other variables, but it seems isolated to this combination.

XBOX or PC? I know WT have an update for the nxi that is meant to get rid of crashes on the XBOX although I don’t believe it’s been released yet. My issues were on the PC but as I said, seem to be resolved.
After the last update to the NXi a few weeks ago the Kodiak has been very stable for me on the Xbox.
That’s great news. Might give it a try later. I haven’t touched the Kodiak since the CTDs started occuring with the WT G1000. I have no interest in flying it with the default avionics.
Unfortunately I’m also one of the ones having issues, I posted in the SU9 feedback thread but anytime I had the Kodiak even selected on the world map it was a CTD. Started the sim 10 times; 3 CTDs were on the map with the Kodiak selected, 4 were on trying to load the Kodiak cold and dark. 3 times that I did not have a CTD had other aircraft loaded cold and dark.
