Today I flew into KTUL in the TBM 930. After landing I asked to go to parking, but ATC told me to go to Gate 19. The only reply I had was “say again”, and got the same message. So I had to ignore the ATC and park where I wanted. Also, the default airport has taxiways that are no longer there. I looked at both Google maps and Bing maps, and they’re both up to date with the latest charts. But I had that same problem a long while back with asking for parking and it told me to go to a gate, but not being able to answer except for say again.
Got to Wichita (KICT/ICT) there isn’t even a concourse
Back in FSX/P3D the airports were generated by charts vs satellite imagery like MSFS uses. It could be the soul reason whynthe ATC is only giving yiu say again is because the generated AFCAD for that airport has no gate 19 or has no taxiways to that gate. There are a lot of airports that are like that which pretty much pipes us to take the leap of faith into the marketplace to buy someone scenery that may or may not be worth the $15 price tag and or go to flightsim.to and download a free one.
Personally edit the AFCAD yourself. Atleast you know it will be correct
That’s why I use ADE. I still have P3D v4.5 on my system and use ADE to fix airports. Can’t wait till they get the MSFS version done.
