Lack of Communication from Microsoft and Asobo

Thank you…
When is the next Dev stream, I know its Christmas and new year so most of the companies involved in 2020/2024 will be on leave and spending time with family and friends. I take it this weeks marketplace update will be the last of the year as well.

Anyway I wasnt having a go at you or the team, its just that when you pay £200 for something you except it work. Sorry if you thought i was targetting the mod team.

can i suggest every update no mater how small or what it is for is comunicated via the news sections of the forum as soon as possible, and I don’t know how it works but can you and your team have more input from the dev team on latest updates and fixes?

I don’t have a pulse on the exact date of the live stream but I’ll be aiming to schedule it for late January!

Silly statement. “no charge”, since we’ve already purchased it. Like saying we’ll give you tires and wheels for your new car purchase for free. Ridiculous.

Ive edited the post above.

Keep asking the devs the hard questions and push for the answers as you are our voice on here.

And these are planes that no one would even fly anyway—such small planes.
For me, this was the last time I bought Flight Simulator.
I only got it because of the career mode.

I can assure you that my team and I always push all important community issues and severity of those issues to our team - we take the feedback here seriously.

Not sure it’s right or fair to hit the Community Managers like this. I would imagine they are doing the best they can to be honest in a pretty difficult situation. They are on the front line but can only do so much. Maybe give them a break?

Don’t really think it’s right here to hit the developers either. They don’t direct the course of the sim or the strategy to follow any more than you or me.

We all know (or should anyway) where the responsibilty lies. I won’t actually say where the responsibilty does lie but there again I don’t think I really need to.

The irony of a thread complaining about lack of communication between the Devs and the community.

Then a Community Manager joins the conversation. Literally a MS employee and a liaison between the devs and the community.

And instead of being happy, folks got angry… for getting what this thread wanted!

:joy:

Yes, I agree with you on this one.

Hearing from the community managers is one thing, we need to hear from the lead developers as to why Patch 3 killed performance at airports (for many) and why is it taking sooooo long to fix simple mouse and UI related VR issues, nevermind the FACT these should’ve been dealt with before release.

Hey hope all is well! We really need a hotfix for airliners on Xbox. Anything private jet and up makes the sim lag and makes the graphics look like play doe. Is there anything planned before Christmas? A lot of people will get the sim for Christmas and basically won’t be able to fly the airliners because of these issues. Hope you have a great day.

Everything about this feels like the sim released 3 months early. Too many things feel rushed or unfinished.

Frankly, if it had released as a beta for a few months, it feels like it is in great shape for a late beta. Just rough shape for a finished product.

So much feels rushed or unfinished.

I can’t blame the devs for that.

Xbox Game Studios is so reliant on new content for Game Pass they tend to release things on time finished or not, because they trust the subscription service and updates will keep people coming back over time (and it works… like the 40th Anniversary Edition of 2020).

This generation, it seems more important to release new content for subscribers on time than to release a finished product.

thanks Jayne

yeah that would be great, to get xbox stability and smooth, crisp graphics. when would such a wasm update come?

also looking forward to getting our airports back form 2020 content, and a big one is the new & expanded aerials/photogrametry etc, for urban areas. I was told that was delayed but coming. ie Jorgs slide show in Arizona showed the US and other places really being updated.

any pulse on either of those items too?

thanks and happy early holidays too

On the road map, there are two sections for surprises… and I have suspected since then that one surprise will be the new Bing data.

This is just me making an educated guess.

The world imagery is another reason why it feels like 2024 released a bit early… and likely would have been better off being named 2025.

Hello @scorpiondrums,

These are add-on planes that were planned to be sold from the in-sim Marketplace for USD $14.99 each. Per Jorg’s comment in the November Developer Livestream, we are giving all players four of these aircraft for free.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy with the free planes and more patches :grinning:

Happy Holidays!

As I understood it the 4 free planes we’re getting were originally going to be paid planes in future, so your analogy is wrong.

I repeat myself, they’re not free. Hopefully they will be in better shape than the current half baked planes that are severely crippled.

This isn’t the proper forum for redefining words like, “Free.”

Not enough people will read it for your new definition to catch on.
