What is the reason that offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea are not represented in the simulator? I am here above the wind farm EnBW Baltic 2; coordinates: 54.9829° North / 13.1232 ° East. The wind farm is marked in Openstreetmaps, but in the simulator there is no wind turbine to be seen here far and wide.
You may want to check out the WE LOVE VFR add-on from PUFFINFLIGHT. I believe Region 1 covers that area.
Doesn’t cover wind turbines, that’s Asobo’s remit.
Ah my bad, saw the turbines in one of their screenshots and thought it was included.
Yup, I don’t add wind farms in We Love VFR. Asobo just recently added ability to remove default wind turbines, so it is possible to replace them, but I don’t have time to overhaul it totally…
You just got me an idea. I didn’t want to touch default wind turbines because of a “jumping” simobject bug when you set custom AGL height. But maybe I could do some simple add-on that would add just wind turbines recently added to OSM. No custom heights and models. Just, let’s say, turbines added in the last 2 years.
Still, no side projects till Region 3 is released, so it will have to wait.
