I use skyvector and airnav for airport runway info, if I don’t want to use Foreflight for some reason.
Assuming you’re trying for a straight-in approach…? When in doubt, rely on the runway numbers being its rough magnetic heading divided by 10, and come at the airport on that heading. With any luck, you’ll see the runway before you’re too close to make a safe approach. Otherwise, overfly the airport a couple thousand feet high, then descend and enter the pattern for that runway. Ideally, you’d fly outbound a little, so you can enter the pattern on the recommended 45 degree angle.
Maybe some others can address your question more directly.
