As anyone found a way to copy the large data download for fs2020 enabling a way to reinstall fs 2020 in the event of a loss of program without having to rely on downloading the whole programme again from scratch
Probably technically possible but I suspect the DRM on the XBox security stuff will stop it working.
The best you can do is make a backup of the folder that contains both the Official and Community folders. Community isn’t quite as important, as you can easily re-download community mods and addons at will, but that Official folder is.
Personally, I keep those on a secondary drive (D:\MSFS). If I have to reinstall the main app, I will just point to that folder when it asks where to download the new data to. If my data is up to date, then nothing will happen. It will just continue loading. If the data is out of date, it will just do the differential download if required (like newer patches).
