I said it during closed beta… the sim wasn’t ready to go out to the public. Large numbers of people on steam unable to run the sim, people experiencing crashes, people experiencing bugs that’s on their eyes should have been addressed on the beta, and I completely agree with this people. What could have been a great launch got deluded by rushing the sim out. Patches need to start rolling out ASAP.
Your wrong. Completely wrong.
Explain to me how I’m wrong? Saying you’re wrong adds nothing to this argument.
I agree lots of bugs
Well when this was a beta forum anybody critical was howled down by the fan boy alpha testers . We told them but we were ignored . The fanboys are the ones being howled down now .
Sim is still in Beta. Like every new piece of software they needed to release the most complete version to the public to see where the first release problems are. I think the days of a game being 100% ready are over with. They need the money to keep developing. There are definitely issues to be resolved. The airliners are an issue and the new twin engine prop is missing the Altitude knob. Boys, we are still testing. Enjoy it. I remember 35 years ago what we thought was great. We’re a bit spoiled. I still can fly for hours even if there are issues. With all the ■■■■ going on in the world right know this is a great diversion .
Amen brother. AMEN
Just looking for a source for this claim if you’re kind enough to provide one
Exactly what I was expecting
Except we just paid for this beta, that was sold on the promise of being a finished product. It clearly is not a finished product if there are actual features missing from the game.
Buggy PC games are normal.
It’s only normalised because yall keep letting them get away with this
I don’t disagree with your points but also where’s the proof that ‘large’ numbers are getting refunds. Unless you work for Steam, Asobo or Microsoft you won’t have any numbers as to refunds other then some people saying on forums that they’re gong to get a refund.
What I can tell you is this; I had no issues whatsoever during installation.
I prepared way in advance my time was coming reading the forum.
Now I have been playing this sim and after taking some time to set everything up,
it works perfectly. No issues or crash! So I think many issues some people have is
having a poor system to run it at ultra! Plus many had problem with installation as they
tried to cheat and change their time to get this sim earlier! It will be a great sim as the patches
comes. Nothing new here!! It takes time for a new sim to be perfected!!
Just my 2 cents!!!
Loving it, and looking forward to many improvements and new features as time progresses. I paid $1 for first month. What’s to complain about?
Wait what? When has this ever been a “finished product”? How is a Flight Sim even deemed a finished product? This is and has always been an evolving platform. It’s not about “letting them get away with it” and “stick it to them!” hive mind thinking. It’s understanding the platforms intentions and progress made on that front. So far, while the SDK is in ongoing development, plenty of progress has been made with dev feedback being key. The SDK will play a pivotal role in the success of MSFS as third party development ramps up and really shines on the platform provided by MS.
I am loving the sim! I agree that with the sophistication and scale of this modern flight simulator there are going to be issues to correct at launch. When you develop software, especially $60 product, you enlist your end user to test and debug. Otherwise we would wait even more time and spend even more money for a perfect product. If you want a perfect simulation buy a real airplane and fly fly away!
Wrong we were not promised a complete product. Not once did they say everything will be available upon release. Go back to the Q&A, go back to the videos during alpha and closed beta testing. They showed partner series such as flightaware with real world flight schedules in the menu and partnership with weather company but they never stated it would be 100% available at release. I feel like very few of us understood what and how much is available during this release, i know what was expected to be released and what to expect in future updates.
This isn’t call of duty or tomb raider where things should be complete. This is the first in sim history that they try to reach a broader audience, it takes testing, fixes to get it right. If youre familiar with EA madden NFL, im a huge football fan, those guys at EA are terrible for not improving the game the past 10+ years. Its pretty much a roster update every year and every customer is fed up with them and the lack of improved technology. They do this because they have zero competition due to NFL contract agreement. Fans have every right to complain to EA. Having said that we should give Microsoft and Asobo time to get things rolling, its not an easy feat yet they’re bringing what no one else has as far as global graphic technology.
you hit the nail on the head! I absolutely had zero issues installing as well, it got stuck once after installation. I closed the window then restarted the sim and continued to setting the levels and peripherals. Im able to run it at a combination of high end and ultra with no issues, no crashes etc. Absolutely correct too many tried to cheat by changing locations and now they are paying the price.
