Forza Horizon 5 fps drops with Nvidia v522.25, before that I got contant 70FPS now it fluctuate 60-70fps with RDR2 Online FPS fluctuate sometimes 50-60fps before that I got 60fps smooth.
My Specs:
MSI GE raider
-Intel I7 8750h
-RTX 2070
-32 GB RAM
games are sitting on m.2 ssd.
seems like problems are related to mobile rtx 20 series cards for laptops, any help.
All - Not sure it its the 522.25 driver. System has rebooted 4 times for no apparent reason in the last 5 days. Has never done that before. Not anything specific, MS Outlook, MSFS2020, believe reading a book once and cannot remember what the other time. Have the dump log, and sent that to the people who built this, just to see if they think itās a memory issue, pc is coming up on 3 years old next march. NOT running hot, keep ASUS armory crate running in background watching temps, was not any hotter than 73 or so. NV Driver has been on system about week.
Tonight, in middle of Flight planning for RNAV flight, just about ready to go, and boom, system froze and rebooted. Then tried it again, and FMC in PMDG 737, and all other systems just froze for no apparent reason, could still navigate in the sim, back to main menu, and quit to desktop, sim gods are telling me not tonight. If this thing did not cause errors, I would be happier. Going to delete 522.25 and go back one level and see if that clears up the random reboots. Just sick and tired of being sick and tired.
I have not noticed anyone yet whoās reporting this on SU11 Beta in the Beta section. Is anyone here on SU11B? If so, is your experience the same? SU11B has changed DX12 VRAM usage, for instance
Iām not using MSFS on a laptop. Canāt imagine many are, if any, tbh.
Iām on SU10 (due to documented issues with PMDG 737 + SU11b). Only use DX11 as well.
MysticKite and all - yes, PMDG was not allowed access to the SU11 code prior to public beta testing, and SU11 causes many issues in 737 family, so they are saying not to install it if you want to fly in MSFS. Not beta testing SU11. Did roll back to 517.48 driver and will see what is going on. I will also do some diagnostics/fixes on system to make sure nothing is showing up if possible. Did have issues with DX12 as scenery just got jagged at locations. Went back to DX11 and now things work good again. The problem did start after 522.25 driver installed so we will see. Laptop is almost 3 YO now, so something could be going on.
Per all the posts Iāve been reading, I think the issue affects mainly 1000 and 2000 series GPUs and not 3000 series GPUs.
Iāve still got my 2080S in there and the problem didnāt initially resolve after rolling back my drivers. I used the DDU tool and now Iām two flights in without any problems other than my fan which is a different matter altogether.
My lockup was on a PC with 3080TI (FE)
RTX 3070 here and 522.25 gave me lock ups.
SU10, TAA, DX11
RTX 3080: no lockups or issues on SU11b flat screen or VR in DX12. Quite happy with performance and visuals. Canāt try SU10 without uninstalling.
I am not playing MSFS on a Laptop, in my prev post I mention about FH5, and RDR2 online with DX12 that also causing FPS drops too cuz of the Nvidia driver update v522.25
SU11 Beta here, lockups with DX11 and DX12. Need to close via task manager.
I switched to DX12 and it solved everything. No more freezing. Still get stuttering and black screen around intense scenery but thatās a whole nother issue.
I rolled back my Nvidia drivers from 522.25 to the driver both that one and it fixed my freezing issue. My problem was definitely caused by the driver.
I have same issues with my Nvidia 2060 Super! But in my opinion only with multimonitor on 3 displays. If I play on 1 screen no issues at all. Also to mention I cannot fly the FenixA320, FBW32X, Aerosoft Bae146 and now with Asobo Beechcraft G36 with multimonitor mode. All my other planes runs wellā¦I guess I am going back to VR and wait a little further with my cockpit moddingā¦
There is a new driver out - 526.47
Just downloaded, DDUāed the old driver and installed⦠havenāt tested yet. But maybe it will help anyone here who was having issues with the previous driver.
Itās proved rock solid so far, smooth and no lockups at all. I guess one bad driver is all it was in the end.
The new driver Nvidia 526.47 is great I get 5-7 more fps
