We are not talking about a pre-release, Alpha or Beta software. MSFS is a commercial, Generally Available product that has been sold to the wider public as such.
-
In commercial software that allows and promotes third party add-ons the SDK should not change without a clear and prior impact statement to all potentially impacted parties. This should be done well in advance to allow 3rd party devs time to change their code accordingly.
-
The world will not burn if one or two SDK elements break from time to time (sh*t happens). However no commercial developer should accept a significant portion of the SDK to change without notice. If this is what is happening then that is simply a case of amateur hour at Asobo & Microsoft.
