On Xbox you still canât turn off the annoying blue light when pointing out something in the cockpit with the mouse or with the cursor, it would be nice to add a setting where you can turn it off.
Please give us the option to disable the highlighted buttons. Those blue lights covering the buttons have always bothered me deeply. And I believe it bothers many others. It could be like on PC, if you donât like it, you can just disable in the settings. That simple.
On fs2020 it has been asked several times over the years to bring a legacy instrument interaction system to Xbox. To eliminate the annoying blue light when you interact with the switches on the plane. Well a legacy mode has been added on Xbox only it doesnât work. As soon as I go to cockpit interaction system and change from âlockâ to "legacy "the blue light stays anyway and going to check again it automatically goes back to âlockâ. I donât understand why after all these years they are still not able to get rid of this light. Next to it it says that legacy mode is exclusively for users with a mouse, I have a mouse plugged in and it does not work for me. It must be that those who want to use it can keep it and those who donât can take it off. For me it is so annoying this, I canât read some writings in the cockpit because of this blue light. For those who are just starting out it may also help I guess but not for those who have already been on msfs for years. I hope it will be active very soon and not make months and years pass like on fs2020.
This problem is worse than an annoyance. It often results in a crash. My right stick is collective/throttle. If, when I freelook, my view is centered on a switch, the collective is locked out. Getting rid of the white dot should solve this (as it does in 2020) but it does not in 2024.
Are other xbox users really not bothered by this? It drives me nuts having my visual scan snag a control because the center of my screen is ALWAYS and active mouse.
I agree with that. It should be discussed more on the forum. Itâs always driven me crazy, and itâs something I really want to get rid of. That blue light over the buttons gives me the creeps.
Currently, in MSFS 2024, we even have the option to change in the settings. But it doesnât work. Microsoft should pay more attention to what has been done and needs corrections. Iâm sure itâs not that difficult to fix.
There is another thread about the same with much more votes. Votes on this topic should be combined.
Also please remove the highlights in walkaround mode.
Thanks for that, however I donât think that thread is exactly the same issue, as it is primarily requesting a change to how Lock mode functions, not the inability to switch into Legacy mode.
The âlock modeâ makes it easier for game pad controller usage.
A few devs i help have had to work around it for pc users as lock mode works better for touch screens on console than legacy mode.
But yeah an option to turn off the blue highlight would be nice
Ahahah good luck to all of you, itâs been years and years that users from Xbox have been asking this to Asobo/microsoft for fs2020 and we have always been ignored, for them the sim on Xbox is something casual that the user picks up and does some flight for fun or for crashing the plane. Hoped that with fs2024 the story would change but it got worse, if you notice even the mouse pointer on fs2024 now is twice bigger than fs2020. They will always try to keep it as arcade as possible on Xbox
Which is why im moving to PC.
It was released on xbox as a âgatewayâ to simming.
Designed to aquire the interest if a new generation of aviation fans. Those that want to get deeper into it will go down the PC route, Those that dont will buy MSCENERY products and fly from an external view mostly around the machloop at 200ft in a 747
Itâs literally infuriating and should be considered as a major issue by devs. It freezes your throttle and youâre forced to do constantly micro camera movements just to avoid all the interaction spots on the cockpit. Weâre asking for a fix since years.
