E.g. Landing challenges. I hate pressing restart and then being asked several times if I’m sure I want to restart. And it’s much the same for the rest of the sim.
I just hate how there’s so much lag in the menus. This stuff should be coming from my local computer, and the sim is installed on an nvme m.2 ssd…there shouldn’t be a 2-5 second delay every time I click on something in the menus.
The UI for aircraft selection is atrocious as well. Nothing is user friendly or functional. The whole layout is clunky with giant buttons.
It couldn’t be much worse. The globe needs updating and the ability to clear the “new” tags that repopulate themselves every single SU/WU. The logbook is still a mess, and options are split into different categories almost at random.
Is there not a single person at the studio who says “hey this is broken let’s work on it for an hour and get it done”? When they boot up the sim at home or at work doesn’t it bother them that they have to scroll through dozens of aircraft to get to their favorite one because they haven’t added a “favorites” folder?
It’s so infuriating that these annoying items haven’t been fixed after 2+ years without needing a wishlist item.
I can already hear someone typing: “There are other items with more votes so those should come first.” A: forum votes aren’t in charge of the studio B: many of the top items are only where they are because they were submitted early in the sim’s life and gained momentum by being an older problem. C: they are the type of person to not let a person with one item go ahead of them in line with a grocery cart because they got to the line 5 seconds sooner.
Other game studios change their menus often. Sometimes weekly or even daily! Not just that but they add rewards and challenges and there’s a sense that the devs are actively working behind the scenes. We only get hot fixes when they realize they allowed a small group of people to access premium content when they had the base game.
The studio is either understaffed or apathetic. I get they’re trying to make the perfect cloud or make the mountains in Switzerland more pointy or whatever but those projects are ongoing and there’s a number of glaring issues that could be completed once and then it’s done.
