They have tried to fool theior customers for many years. Their 777 was garbage yet they priced it the same as PMDG and with that and their describtion to exclusively bring the missing engine models PMDG had promised for years they aimed to rise expectations. The 757 looked good but was very basic already, all above not flying like a 757, the 767 was even worse. The last acceptable offers were the FSX only addons, Tristar and that stuff at that time. From then it went downwards. The products themselves probably still somewhat okay for many people who don’t request high accuracy but the price tags haven’t matched the product for a long time. MSFS was just the perfect opportunity to split price and product even more for unaware customers. The 777 was clearly meant to take advantage from the first time of good believe to get the money, then add the text about what you actually get to be save to continue to rip off new customers and the Herc is the recent proof that you can make a lot of money with just everyting, you just have to be ruthless enough. It’s the internet after all.
