Library Updates Don’t Overwrite Existing Files – Storage Getting Full

Each time a game gets an update, the library shows an update. But when i update, instead of overwriting the existing\old files, it keeps filling up my disk. Now it says there’s not enough space to update. How can I fix this? 1TB is gone

The current solution is that it only works if I delete the entire library, including the base content, (Not community) and then reinstall everything. i get back 600–700 GB of space. But this isn’t a good solution, since I have to download 300+GB of content again after every update.

Correct, if you’re in the Beta you should be clearing out the Rolling Cache, Community Folder and any downloaded content every time a new update is pushed out. It’s the first thing I do when I see a new version has been installed. Then you will have no issues.

The same issue was happening when I was on SU3 Public.

Closed, as OP states the issue occured in SU3
