Lifting the cyclic, the blades move, the thrust/load needle moves but no increase in RPM

Hi all.

I’ve been away from the sim for some months due to illness & personal difficulties. I have kept it up to date with all patches etc though, just not used it

I thought I’d have a go today and get back to the helicopters for a bit of fun, the Guimbal was working very well when I left it.

I seem to have lost throttle control? It was linked to the cyclic I recall and used the governor setting to keep it in the correct range? Now when I lift the cyclic, the blades move, the thrust/load needle moves but no increase in RPM so it goes nowhere.

It had also lost the tail rotor/pedal setting but I think I have that back now, just no throttle

Any ideas? Is there a setup cheat-sheet maybe?

I’m using a T-Flight Hotas One with pedals setup if that helps.

It sounds like one, or more, of the MSFS updates that have been applied since your last visit might have reset your controller mappings to default.

Maybe check if you can just reselect your custom profile or remap the controls in the way that you like them.

Thats the problem - I can’t remember how it was mapped :frowning:

Its been about 8 months or more since i used it, the mapping still shows as my naming but no idea what it was that made it work

At present, the cyclic lever moves ok when i move the HOTAS lever but it has zero effect on the RPM or pitch now??

It seems the Bell 407 works normally on the same control presets so points to an issue with Guimbal Cabri???

Anyone else?

Make sure the THROTTLE is not on flight idle. It must be at max rpm.

How is that done please?

Anyone?

Really want to get back to the Guimbal Cabri but can’t without a throttle

Well i sort of have it working, I mapped a button to “Set helicopter throttles maximum” and pressing that brought up the RPM ok

I managed a few flights ok but still a bit odd having to press a throttle max button when it didn’t before?
