Hi all !
Took the good old 152 for a ride with live weather around Orlando FL area (where I live), and noticed something strange… The live weather indicated that there is Storms around the area, and it’s true it was and it’s passed however I realized that there is lightning present in the area however the clouds formation does not seems like have any vertical development that will cause these lightnings to happen.
As you can see in the picture these are not exactly the type of CB TCU clouds that will produce extreme updrafts and downdrafts to create lightning.
I don’t know if it’s a bug or an sim engine issue but I wish MS/Asobo will take this into consideration to add to the realism.
What they possibly can do is to create an lightning effect only inside clouds that are 15,000 feet base to top for example or where molecular friction is high due to convective weather, but looking at the clouds in the picture producing lightnings is a bit strange.
