Brief description of the issue:
After a while in some flights i get severe stutters that become worse over time. Eventually the sound also begins to stutter. FPS monitor shows “Limited by CoherenGTDraw”. Eventually game is unplayable and even ends in a CTD.

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
Happens once in a while/ once or twice when flying the whole day, can’t reproduce reliably.
Changing settings doesn’t help, changing aircraft doesn’t help, only restarting the flight/sim helps.
PC specs and/or peripheral set up of relevant:
11900k, 3080Ti, 32GB RAM
But it also happened on my previous PC. (9900k, 2080, 32GB)
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
It always happened sometimes but seems to be more frequent now. Both main SU7 build and Beta.

One of them may have a solution.
They don’t have a solution and they are not in the Bugs & Issues section and/or are old threads and/or or not describing the exact same problem? I searched for a while, there are lots of performance issues that are not tied to the “CoherentGTDraw thread” but to “Manipulators” or “Main thread”, these are probably all separate issues.
Also people with “performance degradation” issues are not checking the dev mode FPS meter because they don’t understand what information it provides, so there may be hundreds of threads here indicating the same problem but we must find a way to get these issues the attention they need.
So i agree there are many threads about performance issues with unknown causes but how can we get the dev team to prioritize these issues?
I am having at least 2 separate issues that cause performance problems on a daily basis (days when i fly multiple flights). One is with the CoherentGTDraw, the other is with the WASM problem. Both problems have been an issue for months now and it’s getting a bit frustrating that about 1 in 3 flights end in a stutter fest.
Open a Zendesk Ticket is the official way to get your report triaged.
Personally, I’d try a lower resolution to see if that’s persisting.
I opened a ticket, but these issues are there since the release of the sim. Every time when people talk about bad performance here on the forums a lot of them are probably talking about one of these these issues, and not everyone has the same problem solving or testing skills so every topic will be described slightly different. Different streamers on Twitch agree and most of them also have these problems with performance degradation or the other problem with WASM that also prevents people from flying long haul with add-on planes that use WASM.
And when you open a ticket you get a standard e-mail that asks things like empty the community folder which is very frustrating if you are not a layman.
Happening to me right now. The only thing I’ve done differently is use the flashlight on the last couple of flights. Wouldn’t think there is a connection, but who knows?
I haven’t used the light last flight so that’s probably not it.
CoherentGT is the browser-like UI system they use to draw the game UI and the cockpit displays/GPS unit displays. So it’s a UI related bug, probably something going wrong there or a memory leak in the browser code.
It’s third party software by Coherent Labs so probably hard to fix by Asobo themselves. In that case these problems likely won’t disappear any time soon.
