Hello after the last two updates I have low performance, 29 fps in 2k and 4k, no difference in performance. (Geforce 2080 super/Ryzen 9 3900xt / 32Gb ram) If anyone could help me, I’d appreciate it. Best regards
Are the 29.9 fps locked or do they change?
If they are locked you need to check if v-sync is on or if there is any other fps limit set.
What was the normal fps that you used to get before , with 4k res?
If you dont mind could please share the graphic settings if you can ? Coz i am unable to get above 30fps with 4k res (using gtx 1080ti, 11gb ).
have you tried Render scale 80, on 4k or 90 on 1440,
SoBoa7a, I have the same performance with V-sinc enabled or not activated, with limit of 30 and 60 fps. In no case does the performance vary, thank you for your response… Best regards
CADman544777, in 4k before upgrade : 37fps at large airports and 47 fps en route. (Geforce 2080 super/Ryzen 9 3900xt / 32Gb ram), thank you for your response… A greeting
SpatialWife, I have adjusted render scale at 80. I’ve tried lower configuration and there’s no significant change in performance, it’s kind of weird. I reinstalled MSFS2020 and I’m still with the same problem. Thank you for your response, a greeting
What is the refresh rate in Windows? Also get numbers with vsync off in MSFS settings.
Ok, so after the update my fps dropped from 30 to 9 fps. I also updated my Nvdia drivers.
May i suggest checking the nvdia control panel settings, since for me and lot of users, was changed automatically. After resorting the settings, the performance was back to normal.Cheers.
I am limited by GPU, but that does not surprise me on a $600 laptop.
Its runs at about 97%, even when I back off some settings, which make the graphics worse, so I keep the at High, and let it limit – fan going Full Blast !!!
I do not feel the need to see blades of grass 100 yards away - as long as the Instrument panel is clear, and the view outside is “reasonable” .
Flying on the East Coast USA, visibility is often poor during the day with Humid Heat Haze, so MSFS simulates that quite nicely. Seldom is the visibility past 10 miles during the day.
Check your NVidia control panel. If GPU Scaling is on. Turn it off. See if that helps reduce the load on your 6GB gpumem
thanks willisxdc
If changing the graphics settings has no effect, that suggests the problem is elsewhere.
Certainly look into your drivers, internet, Windows etc.
To me it looks like you limited FPS outside the program so it made the program think it’s GPU bounded.
At least you’re green…pray for that.
