All good, no problem
I suppose it is all a matter of personal preferences/requirements and what one considers good/acceptable. In my case:
What happens in your above scenario is that my frame rates go down, and I am fine with that. I think I may have mentioned somethig similar before but to put it sort of succinctly-ish
:
- In a “normal”/average scenario, the system is close to 100%, I get around 40+FPS with lovely graphic quality. And I am happy.
- I fly over undemanding scenery, the system is close to 100%, the frame rate goes up to 50+ with lovely graphic quality. And I am happy.
- I fly over quite demanding photogrammetry scenery (New York for instance), the system is close to 100%, the frame rate is around 40 FPS with lovely graphic quality. And I am happy.
- I use FSLTL at a very demanding add on airport like FSimstudio’s CYVR Vancouver, the system is close to 100%, I get around 30FPS (sometimes a bit less if I futz around) with glorious graphic quality. And I am STILL happy.
That is my MSFS world FWIW
Some screenshots as examples with frame rates in the bottom left corner:
Taken just now over Iceland - and remember these are all at 4K resolution. The scenery is INSANE in Iceland but gentle on the hardware
New York:
And I can’t seem to find a CYVR screenshot at the moment: will have to do a quick flight to get one. But hopefully the description helps?
