Limiting FPS to 30 fps warning for longer load times

Just to warn people that I timed this in alpha/beta and limiting the fps actually increased load times in getting to the main menu as well as the actual flight. I think if I remember rightly it was around 40 extra secs to get to main menu and extra 20 secs getting into flights.
This was using a superfast Samsung NVME M.2 SSD imagine in slower SSD or HDD it will be even longer.
I haven’t timed it again since release as I can’t be arsed to keep reloading the sim to check.
And yes when I checked, I checked when just restarting the game and doing it after restarting the pc but gave the same result.

Thought id post this as seen people complaining about the load times just in case anyone had limited their fps.

Is that via an external app like Afterburner/nVidia Control panel, or the Sim FPS limiter?

There’s a new setting in the graphics options, directly under the vsync on/off option.

It might just be me, but it looks like it has defaulted to vsync on and a frame cap of 60fps

Try setting it externally, the internal setting is buggy.

If you put vsync on doesn’t it open up the option for fps.
