List of 2020 Aircraft conflicting with 2024 upgrades

Do we have a list of 2020 aircraft that got 2024 upgrades at the release? For example, the 787 got upgraded and it replaces the 2020 version. It seems that in some cases the old 2020 version is bumping the newer version off the Enabled list. A complete list would be helpful to ensure there are no others.

Not sure I follow. If the aircraft exists in both 2020 and 2024 as a default then the 2024 one is always supposedly an upgrade. Meaning it’s at least got the walk round nonsense, career mode stuff and possibly other 2024 changes.

Sorry, there’s a thread on the 787 Dreamliner. Some of us were seeing the old 2020 version without the upgrades. You can’t have both of them enabled at once. I would like to check My Library for other instances like the 787 error where a 2024 upgrade cannot coexist with it’s old 2020 self.

Right. So why would you want the 2020 one enabled. What am I missing?

I don’t. I want to make sure more 2020’s didn’t bump off some 2024 upgrades.

If you are talking about third party, not really. Vision JET FXF is far superior to the FS2024 counterpart

You can have both Vision jets at the same time, unlike the 787. I haven’t tested them.

So, when I look at the Aviator “Pack” and see these disabled, does that mean the old versions booted them?

Does this mean that the Stratoliner was streamed to me 3 times?

Yeah, I couldn’t make sense of this, either.

Why, for example, are 2024 Deluxe aircraft in both the Standard to Deluxe package and the Deluxe to Aviator package?

That makes disabling the Aviator aircraft trickier, because it ends up disabling some of the Deluxe aircraft if you disable the Deluxe to Aviator package. You have to expand the package and reenable the Deluxe aircraft or go to the Standard to Deluxe package and reenable it to make sure the Deluxe aircraft aren’t inadvertently disabled along with the Aviator aircraft.

I think the underlying technology is the issue. Think 3 dimensional spreadsheet. I bought 3 copies, the Premium Deluxe on Steam, the Standard on Store, and Aviator on Steam. So, that’s 3 copies of the plane as it’s part of the standard package, just thinking out loud, so which one gets applied to my library last? Obviously the Aviator. If I was a new customer it would just say Aviator. Probably just one copy. I wonder if refunding and repurchasing threw some wrenches into the system as well. I almost think they should leave those old planes behind in 2020, and release them fresh in 2024 at a later date. Treat everyone like new customers with their “last” 2024 purchase as the starting point. So, of you bought Standard, refunded, bought Aviator, then you start with Aviator, not Aviator applied on top of Standard. Capiche?

If that turns out to be a good solution, it won’t make everyone happy, say if you bought Standard and were expecting your 2020 planes to be here now. But, they could give the community a big hug and pledge to upgrade all those 2020’s at their expense, meaning paid developers, down the road…

For Britten Norman mixture controller is reversed compare the one of MSFS 2020. The sound is horrible too.
For HJet we have only the light version instead to version I bought on Markeplace I had both.

We are thinking more at the 50000 foot level about how the Library needs fixing, not so much the individual planes.

Think he means default and the Vision Jets are not the same product anyhow despite what we may of been led to believe. Both can exist together in 2024 because they are essentially not the same aircraft.

True, and likely many good reasons on their side for “why”, but it’s the “how” they need to solve to untangle it. My 2 cents.

I think I now understand what you’ve done that is creating this question. Correct me if I’m wrong but you’ve enabled the 2020 deluxe and premium deluxe packages when you already have them all in 2024. I didn’t do that because I couldn’t see the point. I have PD in 2020 and 2024 so left the 2020 ones disabled. The only ones I’ve enabled are MP purchases. Does that make sense.

Exactly right. My Library was a mess, and I did some enabling to get my missing planes, not the old 2020’s, but the Local Legends and FF’s that where supposed to be available. That twisted My Library up, and I’m probably not alone with this strange issue. Where are my missing planes, why did they disappear, what’s up with that 787 is that related to the Library issue? The Vision jet is fine, it’s a different product. The 787 is a replacement. That only clouds the issue. They need to rebuild the Library if they want the Marketplace to function, you see. It’s a tangle problem. I hope they have it sorted. :sunglasses:

Yes. Really they should of not bothered showing you almost duplicate aircraft if you have them in 2024. I can understand having them if say you only got 2024 standard but why bother if it’s just the same planes you already have in the 2024 version you purchased. My best advice would be to disable the 2020 Deluxe and Premium Deluxe packages and see how it looks then.

Missing planes were the case for everybody : I only had standard edition before my game pass expired and, at one point, we started to have some of the planes we have in 2020 : not all of them, not in the same order for all of us, based on strange criteria. Then a major part of them were widthdrawn without notice.
