My day today TRYING to play career mode:
- I start the day with a VIP mission with my company. The game starts running at 7fps. The FG kept getting out of sync. I couldn’t even get out of the airport even with the graphics lowered (a 4080 can’t run this game). After a while I manage to take off and it starts to run a bit better. I manage to finish the mission with hurricane winds and the ATC makes a mistake giving me instructions to park. He makes me leave the runway to re-enter it and access another lane to the other parking areas (penalty). I finish the mission with IFR penalties and low customer satisfaction despite doing everything perfectly and smoothly despite the exaggerated wind.
- Second attempt. A light cargo mission over 200NM with a Cessna 172 Skyhawk with another company of mine. The EFB route could not send it to the avionics because of some kind of bug with the 172. After more than 2 hours of flight and when I had less than 10NM left my game crashes. I retry the mission but using the sim rate option. In the middle of the flight the autopilot goes crazy and crashes the plane into the sea. I do ALT+F4 before the crash is counted and when I return to the game it is counted as a failed mission but I didn’t lose my plane. Reputation down and an afternoon lost.
- Third attempt: I do the initial medium cargo mission. Again wind EXAGGERATED. Landing was impossible, the most exaggerated wind I have ever seen in my entire life. I have to land almost sideways and I crashed the plane. As it’s not a mission for a company of mine, I reappear, but I do it underground. The plane crashes again. TWELVE times, until it reappears on the runway. I get a penalty for leaving the runway without asking ATC (I was still on the runway). I finish the mission with the worst possible score, after crashing the plane 12 times and other penalties. My reputation drops from A to C.
Now I look at the passive income and out of the 4 or 5 hours I flew today it only counted for an hour and a half.
I paid €140 to play this game.
