List of Madrid heliport locations

Hi.

I found a link that contains the list of all Madrid area heliports, dedicated to firefighting, medical services, military, special locations, rural medical services and private ones at building tops. Locations are included in the current game satellite textures as well (“H” symbol is visible) and can be used as input in game´s planner map, but as they are not included in game´s database yet you can alternatively export the map to kml format to use it as layer for Plan-G tool, for instance, to easily create flight plans to them:

https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?ie=UTF8&t=h&oe=UTF8&msa=0&mid=1I1YlQ-zDvHVdj48gIUwfeRmpYIk&ll=40.597898960971676%2C-3.7994944999999953&z=9

Note: all credits go to the original authors of the file. I just share the link.

The list will be handy when we have helicopters in game but it can also be used now to plan VFR flights to those locations in order to explore Madrid.

All descriptions are in spanish. Anyway the icon color codes are:

  • Red: firefighting
  • Yellow: hospitals
  • Green: military
  • Blue: buildings tops (private) and rural helipads (normally used by medical services)

I also had an old list of coordinates for the locations that include some extra ones. Most of the locations are already included in the previous link, but as I already had it I share it as well for future reference:

I recommend better check official FIR pages,

some user data can be old and therefore wrong. In our country FIR page all is updated without problems, Heliports coordinates, other things, also Czech FIR site has same data real world updated as I remember. I must say that in times of not some 3-rd party developers work to import some data to sim, I’ve used that data to navigate  but now only relevant for scenery developers probably.

The data is using Google maps coordinates as the list is made from a map layer. As far as I have seen the locations are pretty precise and adjusted to the game satellite texture. There´s not much room for error as the helipads are well visible during approach in most cases.

Remember I´m not the original author of the original link, so I can´t update it. In the list I had (the one I posted after the link) I was using coordinates taken from Google maps satellite view as well.

Cheers

eeeeeehm sry to probably missunderstand me,

I meaned not about precise or error coordinates problem but due real world updates, some NAV/Airport/Helipads can be closed due that real world updates, therefore I recommended that real FIR sites. You can have still good and precise coordinates for helipad to which you want land but in that time you’re landing at non existed already

Aaah, ok understood. The one I know it´s closed is the “Banco de España” in the private list, and I already listed it as closed yesterday. Anyway the roof structure is still there in game and it´s landable in case somebody wants to try it someday.

Cheers
